Snow day!!!

This is what it looks like in south Texas today...

We got a snow day from school today....YAY!!!! Very icy roads...they even closed I-35 for awhile. These Texans do NOT know how to drive on slippery roads, so beware if you live down this way!

I guess you'd call it a frosty week here with record low overnight temps. Most of my tropical plants are dead to this world and will need to be replaced later in February. It took five years to get them to a decent size and now they're goners! I never really learned how to drive on snow and ice until we lived in Washington State and had mountains. I'm glad I don't really have to do it anymore!

Spoken like a true North County gal. However, STL folk have a hard time driving in rain and snow too.
