More photo fun...

I went to a little photo class on campus today which made me really interested in learning what capabilities my Canon G10 has. One of its features is "stitching" photos. You take one photo, turn a little bit, take another, etc., etc. Then you load them into the program that comes with the camera and it automatically stitches them together to make one photograph. This is a combination of five photos taken in front of my house. The one thing I didn't like about the program is that it kind of turns the photos into a concave (I think that's the right word) deal which kind of distorts everything. But it DOES do an incredible job of stitching the photos.

I started this little project out when I left work today and took some pictures of the area in front of my building. This panoramic has four photos. I stitched it with the Canon program and it curved it so much that I lost a lot of the bottom part of the photos when I cropped it, so I wasn't very happy with it. By the way, my son met up with me while I was taking the photos and I was explaining what I was doing. While I was taking the last picture, he popped his head into view.

So, I decided to see what I could do in Photoshop to get back the original photographs. Well, it's a LOT more work in Photoshop and it's definitely not an instantaneous kind of deal, but it was worth it. I like this one a LOT better. Doesn't it look like something that would be on a Texas State University advertisement? Maybe Jeffrey could become famous. Haha!
